Motor (Dryer Drum & Blower)

This motor drives the dryer drum and blower to circulate air and tumble clothes for efficient drying. Replaces a worn or failed drive/blower motor to restore tumble and proper airflow. What it does:

  • Spins the dryer drum so clothes tumble during the drying cycle
  • Powers the blower wheel to move heated air through the drum and vent
  • Stops or slows drum rotation when the motor fails, causing no-tumble or no-dry symptoms
  • May hum, overheat, or produce a burning smell when bearings or windings are failing
What's included: One motor as shown Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before beginning any service and verify the appliance is de-energized
  • Access typically requires removing the dryer front or rear panel and detaching the belt and blower housing
  • Inspect the dryer belt and blower wheel for damage and replace if worn
