How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP2802335 / 00166623 Rinse Aid Door (With Gasket)

We discovered that the rinse aid door had become warped and didn't latch tightly anymore, so it was being pulled open when the dishwasher ran, and all the rinse aid was being washed out during the wash cycle. We ordered this inexpensive part, which was very easy to replace. The door fits tightly again, stays closed, and problem solved! 

To address the issue with the dishes not cleaning as well as before, I checked the obvious first; such as the strainers for debris preventing adequate water flow to the pressure pump etc. The water fill height was proper, but there was still a hidden problem that I had to narrow down. On the Bosch particular model, The upper spray arm and connector was not properly sealing the discharge water from the pressure pump; and in removing the drawer, and looking at the plate where the water flow is coupled to the manifold, I noticed the internal plate gasket distorted and oval like; and that was limiting the flow of water through the arm because of leakage, and bypassing the spray arm assembly. A quick snap off after applying a little liquid soap on the clip to ease romoveal and replacement, and All Fixed..... The Rinse door pryed off easily, and again added soap on the hinge pins to make it easy. DONE!.... Works Great! 

Replaced the turbidity sensor. I watched the video on how to replace the sensor. It took me a little longer than what service rep. said. But I finely finished the repair and now my wife has been using the dishwasher for the past week. I kept checking for leaks but so far so good. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros for your help. Part arrived the very next day; simply watched the video on the Appliance Parts site and was able to remove and replace the part in less than 10 minutes. Very pleased with the outcome! 

Replaced it 

Installed new door forcing the old one out with a flathead screwdriver and sliding the new one in at an angle until notches snap in. Fixed the problem. There was nothing visibly wrong with the old door but I think the door is designed to be not exactly flat in order to create some spring tension when closed and this tension must have gotten weak over time. 

I was originally considering replacing the entire soap/rinse dispenser until I started reading the reviews and input from previous buyers. For a fraction of the cost of a new soap/rinse dispenser, it was obvious the least expensive method to fix this issue is to replace the rinse aid door, so that is what I went with. You pry out the old door with a screwdriver and snap the new one in place. Works like new. 

Deinstallation of the broken door and installation of replacement takes less time than opening the shipping packet, it’s that fast. 

Snapped it in! 

We just bought the part and popped the old one out and snapped the new one in. It was so easy and it worked! Very happy to have my Rinse Aid working again.
