How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5802424 / 5304493021 Refrigerator Ice And Water Dispenser Actuator Arm Kit

Removed face plate from refrigerator and screws from broken actuator. Installed new actuator and re-installed face plate.

Watched a video on youtube. had the problem fixed in an hour 

I ordered the part and replaced it. 

I followed an on line video on you tube ,an it worked out perfect,my refrigerator was a little different but it worked out great. delivery was super fast the next day actualy so i did it sooner than expected .thanks again. 

Replaced fan, watched video then replaced both actuators. Mouse had chewed in back and met an untimely end when the fan started, breaking a blade off. 

Ordered an actuator arm kit and replaced the broken arm. 

Surprisingly well. Except getting the water tube back into the housing. 

Replaced solenoid and yoke assembly. Selector works fine now. 

So grateful for the AppliancePartsPros.com video explaining how to do the repair. It was all pretty straightforward – until I had to re-insert the water hose into the door water assembly. Not easy! I solved the problem by inserting a 4" bolt (slightly smaller diameter than the hose) up through the hole in the assembly, into the inside of the hose to act as a guide. That did the trick, but this was still, by far, the hardest part of the repair, and took more time than anything else. Afterward, I looked at the comments, online, under the AppliancePartsPros.com youtube instructional video, and found that others had the same challenge, and some had found similar solutions. AppliancePartsPros.com, I am so grateful for the video, and supplying the part - and I think that video needs a supplement about water hose reattachment, rather than a cutaway.
