How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4365553 / 134937300 Washer Door Strike Assembly

Part of door latch broke off in the locking mechanisms which is located in the machine body. Remove the plastic ring by removing a locking spacer which is by the door hinge and held in place by one screw. After you remove the locking spacer, you can turn the ring by twisting it counterclockwise allowing it to come loose from the machine. I had to remove the locking device in the machine by removing the two screws and pulling the locking device from the machine and removed the broken peace of the door latch. I took the electrical connector from the locking mechanism so I could work on getting the broke peace out. Make sure you have the locking device in the proper position so that when you replace the door latch and close the door that it locks, if not, you will be removing the locking mechanism again(as I did) till you have the lock with the locking tabs open to accept the door latch allowing the door to close properly and lock as it must to allow the machine to operate. If you do not get it repaired properly you will get a message on the display to call service. I got this, but I removed the locking device and got the locking tabs properly positioned which allow the door to lock and the machine to operate. Gook Luck

Replaced the hinge and installed a new latch assy and was working in less than 30 minutes. The parts fit perfectly. I could not beleive how fast the parts came. I was expecting 2 to 3 days, but they were deleivered the next day, wife was super happy to have her washe machine back up and working. 

Door would not lock in place. So the washing machine wouldn't run. Figured it had to be the door lock motor or the actual lock it's self. Ordered new parts and watched Utube videos to figure it out

We watched the video and took the piece off the door. We matched the broken piece on your website. $50 later and about a week and I got the part. I replaced it in a couple minutes and the washer works now. Thank you for the video and thank you for your ad. I just saved about $350. Thanks again. 

I ordered a direct factory replacement part and if fit perfectly and was simple to install. The delivery was a little funky. The shipment was received at the FedEx location in Charlotte, NC (about 2 hours from me) on a Friday. On Saturday I got a pending delivery email and waited all day for it to arrive. It never did and the tracking info said it was returned to the FedEx starting point. Sunday the tracking said it left the station about 2:30AM. Again no delivery and finally tracking said it was delivered to my local FedEx distribution point and the package was delivered Monday, No problem just weird. 

I ordered the part and had my brother install it. Cheaper than a service guy to come out and fix it! 

Ordered replacement. Parts arrived in two days and were exact or parts. Easy replacement. Took 10 minutes. 

I looked at the diagram for my model, found the strike assembly then determined what piece held the strike assembly in place. Then determined that it was the correct piece. I ordered the items needed then I received the two items and made the necessary repairs. I called a service man before I ordered the pieces and he quoted a price of $375.00 of parts and labor. I felt I was severely being over charged, the parts I received from your company cost me a total of $54.73 includes shipping.
