James M Hudson , NH September 19, 2014 Appliance: Kenmore Washer 41744252500 No high speed spin on any wash cycle tumbled and drained but no spin Replaced the door latch. I was doubtful that this would solve the problem but I was assured that if it didn't I could get a refund for the part so I ordered it and to my surprise it fixed it. I had a little problem with the boot around the door but I had watched a video on replacing it so I was prepared. Bernard V Narragansett , RI February 19, 2020 Front loader would not go into high speed spin Washer would only go into high speed spin when drum was empty or very little in it, a few small towels. I replaced the drive motor and drive belt (old belt didn't look bad) but why take a chance and I had everything apart so why not change the belt. I also changed a noisy water pump. The washer is now back on line working and sounding good. Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Socket Set

Paul D Portland , OR December 11, 2017 Drum wouldn't do the final spin (but would during the wash/rinse cycles) After researching on AppliancePartsPros and another website, both suggested it was most likely to be the door lock assembly. As the machine is already 10 years old, I figured I would replace the drive belt at the same time. What swung me to AppliancePartsPros is that they had embedded videos on their pages showing the repair process. I'm "moderately competent" with repairs if I have instructions to follow. The drive belt was very easy, simply unscrew the back panel and pull off the old belt. The new belt was a bit tighter but a determined spin of the wheel pulled it on tight. The door lock was a bit trickier as the AppliancePros video had a different gasket style which had to be replaced. A quick YouTube search got me one with a similar gasket to mine. Again that repair was very simple. Both were done in 10-15 minutes. I can't tell which piece corrected it since I did both, but machine is back working again.
