Rick December 05, 2016 for Model Number ATF8000FS1 I'm replacing old belt 134051003 AU 1406 with new one 134051001 1406 J MAEL . according to the store where I got it they are one and the same. But when I go to put it on the new one is quite a bit shorter in length and impossible to rotate it onto the drum. I feel if I force it then it might bend the motor shaft. Is this normal?
1 Answer Hello Rick. They are the same belt. There are extremely tight. You will need to walk it onto the pulley and be careful not to pinch your fingers. Read More...

Dennis February 12, 2015 for Model Number afinity What is the easiest and proper way to install a new drive belt? The belt came off on a load and I re-installed the old one, but it may have been stretched since one rib got ripped. Now I have to put a new one on.
1 Answer Dennis, When installing the drive belt you will put the belt around the motor pulley and then start it around the tub pulley. While holding it you will want to turn the tub pulley to allow it to slide over the pulley. Read More...
Leonard R January 21, 2015 for Model Number 94802301 The washer in our stackable unit will work fine until about 1/2 way thru spin cycle. Loud screeching sound develops. Cycle is terminated and sound continues until tub stops spinning and stops. any suggestions?
1 Answer Leonard, Based on the description, this sounds like it would be caused by a faulty brake assembly which would require the transmission to be replaced. The transmission part number is 134737100. Read More...

Mike October 27, 2013 What would cause my dryer to squeal loudly when its turned on then will go away, after a while. Its a frigidaire affinity dryer Thx
1 Answer Mike, a worn belt would slip and make noise at the start of a cycle, then once running the noise could cease. Also make sure the dryer and washer are not being overloaded, and that the machines are in a temperature controlled room, If the room gets too cold, the belts will get hard, and slip on the pulleys, until it warms up. Phil July 10, 2012 for Model Number 417.44052400 I replaced the belt but it seems to stay on the tub side of the pulley. Maybe just a little off the pulley in that direction. Is that normal?
1 Answer Hi Phil. No you will need to "Center the belt" part # 134051003 rides on the top pulley correctly. You do this by slowly adjusting it one rib back on the motor pulley. Then slowly turn the tub pulley both ways to help it realign itself correctly. I have seen them factory misaligned. Thank You. Read More...
Dororthy K. April 25, 2012 for Model Number atf600s1 Why my washer doesn't spin out. It does everything else, it drains, it fills, it washes. But it will not spin out, Please Help
1 Answer Hello Dororthy. If the unit does not spins and just slowly turns during the spin cycle, it sounds like the door lock assembly 131763256 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. If it does not read bad to the board, the unit will wash and drain, but will not reach high speed spin. Read More...
Kristy December 28, 2011 for Model Number AP4321740 How do you put a new belt on? I read the response the same question but this seems impossible.
1 Answer Hello Kristy. You will need to remove the back access panel. Then place the belt onto the motor shaft and roll the belt 134051003 onto the spinner pulley. You will want the groved side of the belt to be down on the pulley. These are very tight to install, but can be done. Hope this helps. Read More...
