How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6995374 / 243297613 Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Replaced with the parts ordered. Did not need water line, but will keep for future use. 

Watched your video and order part 

Needed to remove two parts of the ice making assembly, removed a bit of ice covering the inlet, let defrost a couple of minutes and reassembled 

Pulled the old one out and replaced with new 

I ordered the parts and they arrived a few days later. I just needed a screwdriver, and a few oddly shaped bits and a nut driving bit. I was able to remove the old unit and replace it with the new one and within a few hours it was filling up the ice tray again. The only challenge was finding the correct bits for the drill driver and getting everything to fit back in correctly.

I ordered the updated ice maker assembly and replaced the factory unit. After completing the parts swap I waited about 2 hours and the ice maker did not start working, so I unplugged the refrigerator and let it sit for 10 minutes. After this power reset it started making ice and has been working perfectly since. 

The ice maker was easy to replace after watching your video but It is still not producing ice cubes. There is no water in the icemaker to make ice cubes.
