How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6230715 / 5304509706 Gas Range Oven Igniter

I replaced the Igniter and the oven is working better than it did when I bought it. When I removed the old Igniter it looked l noticed that the metal was barely holding its shape. Installing the part was easy thanks to the instruction video that’s on the website. 

This isn't my first rodeo on this repair, it happen almost two years ago. My experience with AppliancePartsPros.com is better than my experience with Frigidaire'd sister stove. I ordered my part on April 13th and it arrived on April 16th, Saturday evening just in time to save Easter dinner on Sunday. The video I watched explained how to change the part perfectly. While dinner was cooking in my toaster oven, I had enough time to repair my stove. I am a 65-year-old woman and I completed the job in 15 mins. I figured the switch located in the "Burner Ignitor" wasn't completing the circuit to provide power to the gas solenoid. I removed the lower drawer to allow access to the burner. In the slide arms there are pins that need to be pushed on (one on each side) to allow the drawer to be pulled all the way out. Once the drawer is on the Frigidaire Oven was removed the Ignitor was located at the rear of the oven. There were two small screws that held the Ignitor bracked next to the gas tube. The use of a 1/4" nut driver or a #1 square could be used to remove the screws. A cover over the plugin connection at the side wall of the oven needed to be removed to remove the two pin plugin connector. The two single flat stabin connectors were removed. Now the new Burner ignitor can be installed reversing the process. Install the ignitor with the two screws, pluging in the two pin connector and pacint the plate over the connector. Plug in the two single flat stabin connectors. After the Oven Burner Ignitor was installed the temperature was set. The solenoid energized and gas flowed. The oven heated and maintained temperture. 

Replaced the igniter in the oven. Took longer to get the oven door back on than to actually fix it. 

Ordered new igniter, arrived in two days. Watched installation video, took five minutes to install, my oven fires up in 30 seconds. Problem Solved !!!
