The stove became real hot and smoke came from the back. The display read F10. We turned off the breaker. After reading up on the internet and in the manual I turned the oven on again. Sure enough, the broiler element turned on instead of the oven one. I turned off the power and took the back panel off. The burned up relay was super obvious. I double checked what I needed on AppliancePartsPros. Then I ordered and replaced the Clock/Timer (control unit Part No. AP4513486). Make sure to order the overlay for the unit too (Part No. AP4499672). Some people say you can salvage the old one but I wasn’t going through that process. Swapping the parts was quick and easy. Saved the stove.
A relay on the old unit failed. Found it burned up. This caused the smoke and the oven broiler to heat up.
