How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4508570 / 5304475618 Rack Assembly

Replaced racks, 

Replaced old rack with new one. Upper spray arm had to be removed from old rack and reinstalled on new one but it just snapped off/on. Original rack never fit or worked properly, despite repeated service calls. New rack is of a different design but fits perfectly and works well. Easy repair & good result. 

Replaced top and bottom racks, bottom rack slid in to place with no issues. Top rack required the removal of plastic pieces that connect to spinning propellor. Quick fix 

New top rack installed - relatively easy, little tricky to remove tube under old rack, used hack saw to saw through rack and then removed tube 

Did myself 

Although I wanted to just replace the wheels, several sites said I had to replace the with new rack 

Since the top wheels do not come off I needed to order the entire rack. The spinning spray bar needs to be removed and attached to the new rack. This rack is not exactly the same as the Frigidaire Professional model one. It is slightly smaller, does not have the adjustable racks, and is all tines. Despite the differences, this rack is working fine. 

Well, I was a little annoyed that I had to buy a complete rack assembly when I just needed the rollers. That said it was still less expensive than & less time-consuming than calling in a repairman. One of the levers was just loose in the box so it took a little pressure with a large flat head screwdriver and a mallet to snap it back in place. Then I had to be careful not to break the plastic clips that held the water spinner in place on the old rack so I could move it to the new rack assembly. 

I replaced the old dishrack with a new one. 

I just had to transfer some of the other components from the old tray onto the new one.
