How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3160597 / 5303918277 Replacement Icemaker

Replaced ice maker. 

Ordered part online @appliancepartspros. Received part at my door within 4 days. The replacement took less than 15 minutes. I watched a video on the website, and it was easy. 

Replaced the pump. Followed on line video and the repair was easy. 

Replaced the ice maker. Finding the screws was the hardest part to put the nut driver on to loosen it. Finally used a mirror to see the screws 

Replaced Ice maker , Now makes Ice quicker and no excess water to cause freezing up of auger or Ice container. 

I replaced the unit using the easy to follow video instructions. Because I did not need the adapter harness, all I had to do was loosen the two nut/screws holding the unit in. Unplug the old unit, plug in the new unit, hang the unit on the wall and tighten the screws. It took minutes After waiting a couple of hours, it was still not making any ice. A little web searching, I found a post that said use a turkey baster to prime the unit. That did the trick, it has been making ice like a champ every since. 

I had to do some searching to find a new ice maker on your web site. I ordered the correct one for my 14 year old frig, and it works great. Ten minutes and the install was complete. It took a while to be able to adjust the ice cube level correctly, but it is working great now. Great site. I'll be ordering again if I have any more issues. 

I looked up the part on your site, I was leary if it was the right one, but everything matched. My husband didn't think it would be easy, but your video was AWESOME. I even got a pat on the back from him. Love your site and service!!! 

Generally with appliance repairs I just called the repair man out of habit. After reviewing the "how to" film on the website I figured it was way easier than I thought. Took all of ten minutes. Totally quick and easy to order the part, as well as replacing it. 5 stars!! 

Bought replacement ice maker. Very easy to fix. Took about 15 minutes to fix. I didn't need the adaptor for my model frig. Just plug and play.
