How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6230614 / 5304509459 Door Switch

With the help of a YouTube video, I was able to replace the three switches in my microwave using the parts ordered from this website. The diagrams provided were very helpful in making sure I was ordering the correct parts. The shipping was very fast! The problem of tripping the breaker switch has been resolved. I am thrilled to have saved the cost of a service technician coming to the house. 

Replaced door Interlock Switch. 

The fix went well - took about 45 minutes because of the odd screw placement. 

Replaced all three door switches, the monitor was the bad one. The tabs that hold the switches in are plastic and have to be moved at least 1/16. You have to pry carefully from the housing and then pull out the switch. I used a large paper clip the the hole in the connector and it was fairly easy. All worked great after that. 

With the help of YouTube, I analyzed the problem which was the monitor switch. I purchased the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. and replaced it. Problem resolved. The only problem was the Courier, where it laid in 1 facility for 3 days. AppliancePartsPros.com has always came through for me.

Was instructed by an appliance repairman to replace the latch switches. 

Replaced fuse. Everything then came back on but after pressing start the microwave would reset. To me it was then acting as if the door was open. I then analyzed how the three door switches functioned and what their purposes were. I used my OHM meter and found that the center switch was shorted closed. I noted that when the door was completely closed, this switch would be in the open position. Since it was shorted closed, I figured that was the issue. I tested my theory by disconnecting the wires to the switch which would simulate and open. At this point the microwave worked simply fine. So, I ordered the switch and replaced, and all is well. 

Primary switch was loose and replaced the bracket that holds the switches. 

Change the monitor switch in the door and that fixed it.
