Bill April 22, 2022 for Model Number Frigidaire FFMV154CLSA Sporadically the unit will start the turntable on a slow rotation while making a clicking noise without any reason..Opening the door seems to stop this behavior. Otherwise running fine most of the time.
1 Answer Bill, This would be due to a failed control board or door switches. If you find a failed door switch be sure to replace all three at the same time per the manufacturer's recommendations. Read More...

Jerry February 09, 2021 for Model Number FPBM3077RFB I have a Frigidaire Micro Oven Model FPBM3077RFB. This model has the touch selections in the glass door at the bottom. The light inside the micro comes on when the door is open as it should and the clock in the door face is still on however when I touch any other selection on the door face for operation, nothing works. It's as if the touch sensor system is not active. Could this be a door switch?
1 Answer Jerry, Based on the model provided I would recommend checking the door switches with a multi-meter, if the door switches are good then it will likely be a user interface issue. Read More...
Mary S November 23, 2020 for Model Number Frigidaire over range microwave FGMV176NTF When microwave door is closed fan comes on, microwave does not unless buttons are pushed to start. So, what could be causing fan to remain on unless door is open?
1 Answer Mary, You will want to test the door switches on the unit which will be the most likely cause for this. If the door switches check ok then the only other cause would be a faulty control board. Read More...
Rakesh S November 18, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore Elite 790.80363310 Hi, I have a Kenmore Elite, which I believe was made by Frigidaire. About 2 1/2 years old and just blew the fuse in the fuse box. Seems door monitor switch broke. Replaced it with a matching one from Amazon (lasted 3 days). Did it again (lasted a week). Trying to figure out if the quality from different well ranked sellers is just bad, need an OEM part, or it is something else, like the door latch (hook). I see slight wear on the "ramp" in the door latch assembly. Any thoughts? Thanks.
1 Answer Rakesh, It would be recommended to replace all 3 door switches at the same time as there may be an issue with one of the others as well. Read More...
Antonio October 10, 2019 for Model Number LFMV164QFA Hi, I have a Frigidaire Micro oven - Model # LFMV164QFA. Manufactured Jan 2017 It does not warm up the food. The plate keeps turning but the food/ water does not get hot. Is it the switch. I have used it only for 2 months. Thanks Antonio
1 Answer Antonio, after leaving the unit unplugged for 10 minutes, the transformer 5304515184, magnetron 5304519335, capacitor 5304528930, and diode 5304509479 would need to be tested. The transformer primary windings (two terminals directly on the transformer) should measure .3 ohms, and the wire side windings should measure 118 ohms. The two-wire filament wires that are together should measure 0 ohms. The magnetron should measure less than 1 ohm from terminal to terminal, and 0L from the filament to the chassis. The capacitor should read several ohms initially and then start to read 0L. The diode would be tested for continuity and with the meter probes set to test the diode from one end to the other, and then reversed, the diode should read continuity in only one direction. If these all test good, then the issue would be in the relay to the transformer and the main control 5304477390 would need to be replaced. Read More...
Joe March 01, 2012 for Model Number fmv157gb When the door is closed the oven turns on. Which switch needs to be replaced??
1 Answer Hello Joe. You will need to test the door switches 5304509460 and 5304509459 to see which switch is bad in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
