How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2024072 / WB24T10025 Range Infinite Switch 8 Inch

Easy straight forward fix , wife is now happy which makes me very happy. 

Replaced the burner thermostat switch with a new one. 

Replaced the infinite control switch. 

Replaced the part. 

Replaced the control. 

Followed your replacement directions on all items. The infinite burner switch was fixed exactly as your web site indicated. Also used your instructions on the bottom trim channel of the oven door. Unfortunately, we had delayed replacing it and it was corroded which made the replacement longer and more complicated. Had to gently use a single blade scraper blade to dislodge the rust between the old trim channel and the glass and gently work the channel loose. However, with persistence and patience we were able to gently scrape out the rust that was on the channel which was binding tight to the door glass without damaging the glass. I should have replaced it much sooner and the job would have gone much faster. Other than that, everything went well. I would not recommend others to use a single edge blade unless they were extremely careful since it could result in getting cut. My advice would rather be not to put off replacing the part since it gets more difficult as time passes and more rust builds up in the channel that holds the outer glass in place. 

Ordered burner control unit. When unit arrived turned off power to stove at circuit breaker box, went to stove attempted to turn on stove light and a burner to confirm power is off. Pulled stove from wall, removed back panel to gain access to burner control units. Placed new unit next to old one to assure correctness, removed control knob, removed the two mounting screws which secured unit from front panel, removed old unit, placed both units side by side and removed one wire at a time and placed on the new unit. This assured correct placement of each wire. Installed new unit with two mounting screws and knob. Replaced the back panel, cleaned floor underneath stove, pushed stove back into place, turned circuit breaker back on then turned new unit on. New control unit worked fine. 

I replaced the Infinite Switch as instructed in the video and that solved my problem. 

I took 15 minutes out of my busy day and replaced the infinite switch. The whole process was so simple, from finding and ordering the switch to installation. The part arrived in two days, so fast service is the word of the day, Thanks AppliancePartsPros. 

I'm no handyman, but in 15 minutes I had the infinite switch replaced. It required a wrench and a couple of screwdrivers. It's a simple fix, but satisfying because I didn't need to call anybody for repair.
