How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4300545 / WD12X10244 Lower Spray Arm Base

In the How to fix it your self section of Questions and Answers, your answers for removing the Base Spray Arm is incorrect. It states "just stick a screw driver into the base spray arm from inside the tub and turn", that does not work. Their are 2 tabs that in gauge the base spray arm with the tub. A 4 prong round wrench is required to insert from the bottom into the pump connector and turn the nut that sits inside. 

I watched a video on you tube detailing how to remove and replace the broken parts. 

Followed the video. That part went as planned. The dishwasher wouldn't drain/started overflowing onto the floor after. There was a small white ball that came out of the sump when I tipped the dishwasher onto its back. Make sure this doesn't happen to avoid the same problem. If so, it simply needs to go back into the round hole before the basket goes back on. Took longer than it should have, because of additional troubleshooting. Hope this helps. 

On google search engine found the help to fix the issue along with the parts. With the help of videos and parts, I fixed it right and got it working. The help made it very easy to fix, but I took enough time to make it right and avoid any possible leaks. 

Broke while trying to remove to clean the filter. Purchased the replacement ( arrived super quick). Put it back together, machine wouldn't drain. Read the repair chat, moderator repeatedly claimed the missing filter ball was not the problem. Replaced the filter ball- it drains! 

The problem was the Filter Fine Assembly had broken which caused a small piece of plastic from the broken Filter to jam up the wash motor. Jiggled the wash motor and it thudded into place. Turned on dishwasher to test and water pumped out successfully. While taking parts out, accidentally broke the Lower Spray Arm Base. Ordered parts to replace the broken ones on Sunday (8/1). They arrived on Wed (8/4). Parts replaced and dishwasher runs like a charm. 

By replacing it. 

I followed all the various You Tube instruction for that particular GE model. 

After not getting the correct part from an appliance store, I ordered here and got the right part. 

It wouldn’t come off easily by turning counter clockwise from the bottom so I removed it from inside of the dishwasher with a strap wrench.
