How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4412252 / WD28X10215 Silverware Basket Assembly

I ignored the problem as long as I could. The silverware stayed in the sink, until all of them were dirty. I am very busy, traveling three days a week. We have a family of four, so things get messy. I finally found this site, which told me how to find the model number. I ordered, and for days later......my kitchen is finally clean. 

My GSM 1860nss 18" dishwasher is no longer made. It is very small and therefore unusual. When I first starting looking for a replacement basket I learned this. Meanwhile I put plastic pull ties through the bottom to hold a few larger pieces of silverware. This replacement item was better than expected when it arrived. It also has covers for the basket so I can place small items in it that will not be ejected through the power of the spray wand. Priced well also. 

We usually fill up the silverware basket faster than the rest of the dishwasher, so we needed an additional basket. Works great. Just stuck the basket in the bottom rack, and we have more room for silverware. Easy fix.
