How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031021 / WB44X173 Oven Broil Element

Replaced the boiler element with a new unit purchased from AppliancePartsPros.com. I used their YouTube video as a guide. There were two surprises - one bad, one good. The bad surprise was that my unit used screw terminals rather than the slide-on tabs shown in the video. The good surprise was that the length of wires available was fortunately longer than shown in the video; I could reach the terminals more easily than I thought. 

I watched the videos, followed them exactly, and the oven is working as if new. 

We were very happy to receive the part by UPS just two days later from Kentucky to Washington! The plate in the back of the element didn't fit the holes in the oven so my husband drilled two new ones in our oven. Great to have my oven working again. Thanks! In ordering they were very helpful, too. 

Looked online and found these parts. Instead of ordering from eBay I decided to give you a shot. I ordered my parts and in under two days they were waiting for me on my front porch! A simple fix. Fast and reliable and the parts are totally top notch! Will be back for my other parts! 

Ordered the replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The part arrived in just a few days. I replaced the element myself; it took less than a half-hour start to finish. 

Ordered both parts and replaced rather easily. Shipping was very fast. I was surprised. 

Ordered new elements and put them in. The video was helpful and I avoided any problems with the wires. 

Replaced element. Overnight shipping saved the day. Wife is now very happy! 

Ordered part from Appliance Pros. Took about 20 minutes to install. Took a little longer only because of awkward position to reach inside oven. 

Replaced it with the new one. Connecting the wires to the unit wasn't easy but I did it.
