Peter K Blue Springs , MO April 24, 2020 Appliance: Model GE JBP21G S2WH Range's bake element melted itself Our 25-year-old range's original Oven Bake Element melted itself. When it happened it looked like someone was using an arc welder in the oven. This seemed to be a potential DIY repair, especially after looking at the cost of a new range. So we Googled the oven's model number (GE JBP21GS2WH) and AppliancePartsPros.com was the top search return. (Way to go, SEO!) Clicking on this link brought up a web page of parts specifically for our model number with the parts sorted by popularity. The Oven Bake Element was the most popular item. (I wonder why?) So, after Googling the model number I was looking at my replacement part after just two clicks of the mouse. Sweet! I noticed the link to the walk-through video that detailed the installation of the element. I watched the video to be sure this repair was on my level of DIY. The video instruction was clear and detailed. It calmed any DIY apprehension I had. So we ordered the part and also ordered a new Broil Element (because it's probably due to melt itself) and a new Oven Rack (because I'm tired of trying to get the old ones clean). The package delivered in two days using the standard delivery option. There was no problem with the delivery, the order was correct and packaged well. The parts installed just like the video showed and the range now works just fine. AppliancePartsPros made this a very painless and quick DIY repair. Thank you and keep up the good work. Mark B West Union , SC September 25, 2021 Appliance: Model JBSO3 My very old oven would not bake or broil. After removing covers and screws that held 4 wires to units replaced units. The procedure was easier than expected for this 72 retired man. I felt it was too easy so I called the helpline to confirm and they were very friendly and helpful. Richard A Bakersfield , CA April 04, 2020 Electric oven heating element had failed. I replaced both the upper (broiler) and lower (baking) elements. The lower element had failed, but I figured I would replace them both since the unit is about 30 years old. Replacement is pretty simple as the new elements match exactly with the old ones. The toughest part is working around the oven door while it's open. I guess a person could remove the door, but that doesn't seem worth the effort. In any event, after an hour the removal and replacement was done. Tried it yesterday and it works fine.
