How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031021 / WB44X173 Oven Broil Element

I removed the old broil element and replaced it with the new one that I received from AppliancePartsPros. 

Took oven door off, pulled out racks, took 4 nuts out/ 2 at top that helps hold the element, 2 in back of oven. Made sure the wires came out far enough so not to slip into the back of the oven. Put new element in and it took about 20 minutes total. I asked God to guide my hands and he did just that. 

Replaced the element 

New heating elements 

Replaced both elements 

Replaced unit with your newly purchased unit 

I fixed it myself and saved over $2,500, because we thought we needed a new double oven. Unscrewed a totasl of six screws and I have a working double oven now. 

I replaced the top heating coil: unplugged the oven, unscrewed the old heating coil, pulled it away from the back of the oven, unscrewed the wires from the old coil, screwed the wires onto the new coil (that was the tough part because of my reach length and the required screwdriver angles), then put everything back together in reverse and plugged my oven in. Works great now! 

I replaced the broil element with a new one. 

Replaced the broiler element. Very easy repair.
