How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7204348 / WD21X31899 Configured Ui Board

Confirmed AC to unit was OK tested power board located bottom of dishwasher. Confirmed steady green LED light was on and also confirmed ~18V on the connector to the Ui control board. Replaced the User Interface board located at the top of the dishwasher door. 

Had to replace the main control board and the UI control panel. 

The control panel showed no lights at all. Checked for voltage (dc) coming out of control board which I did have 14 volts which indicated the interface board was bad. The toughest part of the job was removing and taking apart the door and reassembly. You Tube and plenty of patience. The big problem was finding a new board as not one company had them in stock. I called A.P.P. and they said the boards were on back order and about 2 to 3 weeks out. I was going to have them contact me when they came in. The representative indicated if I waited until then there would be a good chance they would sell out before I got one and it would be best to order it now and it would be shipped direct from their supplier. I got the part in about a week to my surprise. 

I replaced the kit Svc Ui Front Logic 

Did a you tube search for the problem and troubleshooting. Determined it was a bad control panel or wiring. Took the door apart per the you tube instructions. I figured it was probably just the control board, but I also figured since I was gonna have the door torn apart, I may as well replace the wiring harness and it was only another $ for the harness. Everything went back together as planned. Problem fixed. 

I took the door off, took it apart and replaced the unit. 

Replaced UI Board 

Mother-in law paid appliance repair company to fix this dishwasher. They replaced main circuit board at bottom of dishwasher. Same issue happened again. I looked into this and found some diagnostic steps to follow. After testing I concluded issue pointing to logic board at top of door of dishwasher. Found the part at AppliancePartsPros. Installed the board in about an hour. Note- there are "jumpers" on the logic board that need to be in proper positions based on your model dishwasher, part came with instructions with those settings. Success ! Dishwasher working 

I watched your video. I didn’t disconnect the dishwasher or move it, I was able to lock the latches from the front of the unit after removing the kick plate, a small inspection mirror helped locate the holes for the 2 Allen wrenches. The rest of the disassembly went exactly like your video. I also replaced the door seal and cleaned the door sealing area on the door and tub. I then reassembled it per the video and ran the unit, everything was back to normal. You guys have the parts and the supporting videos are great. Excellent product (factory GE) and technical assistance. Our 2016 dishwasher is running like new again. 

I followed the video on AppliancePartsPros.com. I ordered the circuit board on Monday and had it by Wednesday. the price was better than other sites and it was a genuine GE part. Mine is a model GDF570SGJ2WW. The door removal was much easier than the one in the video. It did not require unhooking the dishwasher or pulling it but a few inches out. There were 4 screws on the side that had to be removed then it came apart easily. The rest of the video was accurate and easy to follow. Thanks AppliancePartsPros.com.
