How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7218676 / WD21X31902C Dishwasher User Interface Control Board

Ruled out lack of power from breaker with a multimeter. Replaced the User Interface Board. 

Found discussion online that provided instructions on troubleshooting. Diagnosed: Bad UI board. The same blogger gave a link to a service manual that provided great detailed instructions on replacement. Everything then worked as it should. 

I replaced both power control board and User Interface board. Started by checking for 13.5 volts on control board between #2 and #5 pins. Voltage was never over 5 and showed 0 multiple times. Replaced but still no power and voltage still showed less than 5 or 0. Thought I had a bad replacement board and returned under warranty for replacement with same results. Replaced UI board and power worked. Have ran 5 cycles in two weeks with no issues! 

I first replaced the main control board. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the problem. I then replaced the user interface board, which resolved the problem. Thank you for your reasonable pricing and quick delivery of the of the user interface board. The instructions for the jumpers were easy to follow. My only issue was that I didn't watch YouTube before I tried removing the user interface cover. Either way, I saved by not having to buy another diswasher. Thanks again. 

I ordered a new user interface control board. 

Replaced the lower main power control board, the top logic board, and the door latch switch. The unit is working great now. 

Installed new UI board. instruction video was close to my set up, but the process was pretty simple. take your time and don’t break plastic parts. they can be sticky so work them a bit. all in all a very simple fix. 

I was getting no response from the dishwasher when pressing the control buttons on the door. The main control board below the dishwasher was illuminating a green status light. Decided to replace the User Interface (UI) Control Board to see if that would fix it. The board was about a third the cost of a new dishwasher so decided to give it a go. The part arrived the next day and the online instructional videos posted here were incredibly helpful and walked through the process step by step. Made the repair very straight forward. I was able to replace the board and have the dishwasher back up and running in about 45 minutes.

For about a week the control panel on the dishwasher would come on and go off all by itself. We don't use the dishwasher a lot, so this is usually behavior. We did load the dishwasher later and found none of the controls would work. I went to AppliancePartsPros website in search of a new part. The key thing was there was a video as how to replace the logic board in the door of the dishwasher. After viewing the installation video and ordered the part. I really liked the completeness of the video and added info like, "the screw with fine threads is for the bottom part". I completed the installation by following the video on my laptop. Start and stop at each step. It was installed and the dishwasher is back up and runninng.
