Robert July 18, 2025 for Model Number GDT695SMJ5ES Bought a new wd21x31902c user interface and it came with no configuration pins or even tabs to put them on. Installed it and lights all came on but one week later control was dead (no lights).Decided to look at main control board and noticed led was flashing rapidly. Disconnected ui board and no change in control board flashing (should have been solid indicating no comm. with ui board). Do I need a new main control board?Not looking to throw a lot of money at this as it is a 6 year old machine. Thanks
1 Answer Thank you for your question Robert. It does sound like there's a communication issue between the user interface (UI) and the main control board. Since the UI has already been replaced, the problem could be either the door harness part number WD21X21664 or the main control board part number WD21X32163. The door harness should be tested for continuity from end to end while opening and closing the door. If continuity is lost at any point, the harness will need to be replaced. James January 17, 2025 for Model Number GDT695SMJ2ES It use to beep and light up on its own even when not prompted in the middle of the night. Now nothing is working no lights or any response. I can see the control board LED is blinking rapidly. Not sure if it’s the UI board or the main board. It’s difficult to get at the connector to take measurements to see if the main board is putting out the 13 volts that is needed. Also, I can’t get any codes even if I press and hold the power button and select cycle button for 10 sec. The UI board is not responsive at all. One time it wasn’t working I was able to unplug the wire harness and plug it back in and it started working for a short time. Now that doesn’t help. It’s just dead. L

Repair person tried replacing the control board but said that was not it.. He thinks it may be the user interface board instead. My question is about the part number. He thinks it is WD21S31902C. Joe December 10, 2023 for Model Number gdt695 I ordered an internet control board part #WD21X31902 for my GE dishwasher. The new board is identical to the old one except the new bard did not come with the posts to place the four jumper connectors on. There are holes in the board but no posts. To me it looks like they were forgotten. I tried to gently remove the posts from the old original board but they are solder in place and won’t come out. Is this a defective new board?

Donna October 15, 2023 for Model Number gdt695sgj2bb received the new ui board and followed the installation video. I thought what I bought was a preconfigured board for my model. when I got to the part for the personality setting, I thought maybe I should follow that. I configured my board by moving the #4 jumper according to the enclosed jumper setting table using personality 11 for model gdt695. upon completion of putting everything back together the machine would not respond. Is there a different configuration I should be using?? Thank you for your help
1 Answer Donna, based on the information provided, you have programmed the control properly. If the original failure was the user interface control was not operating at all, or the appliance would not power on, this could potentially be a door harness failure. Immediately after turning the power supply on, there should be 13.5 VDC at the machine control at the bottom of the dishwasher when measuring from the yellow and blue wire at pin 5 to the black and green wire at pin 2 of connector J722. If voltage is present, the same wires would be tested at the user interface control. If that voltage is missing at the user interface, the door harness WD21X21664 would need to be replaced. Linda August 19, 2023 for Model Number GDF620HSJSS Only the "Upper" light is on. The rest of the panel is dark. The buttons beep when you press them. The dishwasher runs and drains. I just don't know what cycle it's washing or how to select the cycles. I turned the power off and on and it's still doing the same thing.

Jason M April 26, 2023 for Model Number GDT695SMJ2ES Several weeks/months ago our dishwasher started to beep at random and the control panel would light up (as if you just opened the door). It would happen several times a day but aside from that was functioning normally. Last week it died completely - no LEDs illuminated and the controls are completely unresponsive. Tried flipping the breaker off for a few minutes but still nothing, I then pressed the Select Cycle and Start buttons at the same time for Five (5) seconds. If the control responds with LED’s or Display coming on, The CSM is tripped, still nothing. At this point I gave up and ordered another dishwasher. When I pulled this one out it started working again with the panel still lighting up randomly. So I cancelled the order and used it for a few more weeks before it died again completely. Based on this situation we decided to follow the same steps and replaced the UI - WD21X23462 After researching online we found a similar situation through a forum applianceblog.com When watching the video to replace this part through your site it gave instructions to match the jumper pins. Unfortunately my factory one didn't have any jumper pins and I am lost on what to do. I did try installing with no connections made through the jumpers but no success, it is completely unresponsive. I hate to throw any other parts/money at it. Can you give any other input? If needed I could show pictures of both UI's side by side if it would help.

Rick February 16, 2023 for Model Number GDT655SMJOES I am getting ready to order a UI board from you part #WD21X31902 but would like to be more confident this will fix my problem. The symptoms it has is the display lights up randomly and then will turn off on its own other than that it works fine and from what I have been reading this is the fix. Can you confirm this.
