How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3994965 / WH01X10310 Washer Timer Control Knob Assembly

Got a new one in 2 days, put it on and done 

Diagnosed using online troubleshooting from manufacturer. Ordered agitator coupler to replace worn, stripped part. Also ordered replacement knob. 

Replace the knob 

Went to Appliance Parts pros web site and found how to remove knob. I found the teath on the knob was worn. I ordered a new knob,and within two days the washer was up and running again. Thanks for your help. Dave 

Just Put the timer dial on and then put the control knob on. 

Replaced old knob with a new one. The plastic teeth on the old one were stripped off. Make sure you push off the old clip behind knob before pulling knob off. I used the screwdriver for this. 

Replaced the timer and the control knob 

Ordered new control knob with clip. 

Ordered the parts which came the next day!Watched a video that showed how to install the parts.The video was very helpful.Much better than calling an appliance repairman and paying $100.+ service bill. 

Looked for part needed, checked comments on those that have fixed it themselves and watched video. Had the part the next day (THANK YOU!) and repair was under 5 minutes. What an amazing site for parts! Definitely will be my 'go to' place when needed!
