How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5806667 / WE01X20378 Control Knob

The knobs needed to be replaced! 

Dad to the rescue! Easily took handle apart and put new ends on Dryer, biggest deal was getting it out (tight room) far enough to open up and get to the back Replaced starter and knob 

Ordered a new one and it arrived next day. Popped it right into place no problem. 

Replaced with new knob 

The problem was that the housing on the main panel for the start switch had broken and the switch was no longer stable. So for quite sometime now I have been rigging it in place however I could so we could start the drier. I finally got tired of that and started looking up the parts. A few days later I received everything in the mail and got it all fixed up. Good as new now! 

Timer and bolt replacement. 

Replaced all parts, took less than 15 minutes 

Exactly how the directions suggested. place the belt installation tool on the motor shaft put the belt in place with a zip tie and turn the drum pulley in a clockwise direction and the belt worked itself on. the belts are very tight I suggest you wear gloves to turn the drum pulley 

Replaced the Rotary Start Switch per your video.
