Purchased a new pump, and installed it, which took less than an hour, mainly because I didn’t remove the dishwasher. I just pulled it out a few inches and raised the front about two inches so I could get my hands under it.
Everything went smoothly and the dishwasher is working perfectly.
I disassembled the old pump, which was very simple. And I found a piece of broken glass stuck in the impeller. The glass was about the size of a dime. Reassembled and the old pump still works.
I am guessing this could be a common problem with debris getting wedged in the pump, just because it was so simple to disassemble the pump.
