Unfortunately I cracked the glass cook top while removing it because the only videos out there on Youtube led me down a slightly different path while disassembling the cook top (ie. was a similar model but not the same cooktop sub assembly). Anyway, that aside, it was completely my fault. Moving beyond that set back I quickly realized how to "correctly" remove the glass top and replaced the element without any issues at all. After putting it all back together it worked without issue. I then went back to AppliancePartsPro and ordered a new glasstop. With that now installed, my wife is much happier as the range looks practically brand new :).. Fortunately AppliancePartsPros had the glass top in stock, and I was able to get this entire thing turned around in about 1 week.
