How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6031713 / WE03X23881 Lint Filter

I googled AppliancePartsPros.com. Put my model in and parts came up. I picked the part number I needed and less than a week I had the part. 

The old one was tearing away from the frame. I replaced it with a new one. 

I ordered a new lint trap. Perfect! 

Replaced the filter lint assembly 

It was a simple fix. Removed the old lint filter. Brushed and vacuumed out the area where the lint filter gets inserted. Then inserted the new filter. It took less than 10 minutes to complete. 

Took dryer apart, which I have done before, cleaned out the lint, and then added belt and put back together. Took 2 hours, since tough time getting tension on belt. Eventually realized how to do it. Once tension was correct putting back together was fast. 

Ordered a new part 

Was able to go on this site and find the exact part I needed 

I ORDERED A NEW FILTER FROM YOUR COMPANY AND IT FIT PERFECT. 

Tried buying what was supposed to be a compatible knock-off but it did not fit. OEM part fit perfectly. Lesson learned.
