How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5270172 / WE1M1002 Dryer Fuse

I finally got the right repairman for the job ! He saw my dryer was never hooked up correctly & a loose wire was causing the fuses to blow out after only about 2 weeks per fuse ! I had already bought 3 new fuses online & they were NOT cheap ! After stabilizing my dryer wires this repairman took the time to explain all he had done, & what to watch for in the future. Then for even better service about a week & a 1/2 later what arrived in the mail ? TWO NEW FUSES THIS REPAIRMAN HAD SENT TO ME ! I couldnt be happier with the level of customer service & obvious competence I received. GREAT JOB ! 

I had an appliance repairman come out and he told me for him to replace the timer, knob, and fuse would cost $340 for parts and labor. Plus I already paid him a service charge fee. I decided to fix it myself. Appliance Parts Pros had all the parts I needed and the website showed a video on how to replace the timer. I got the parts for $86. The parts came the same week and it took me 20 minutes to do everything....AWESOME!!!GE 

I replaced the blown fuse. Then I dismantled and vacuumed the interior of the unit. Reassembled the dryer, tested and returned to service. 

Ordered fuse. Thank goodness my husband is a do-it-your-selfer. He checked the fuse with a tester and figured we would start there since it showed "not good" on the tester. Thanks Appliance Parts Pro, for getting us the part so quickly. Being without a Dryer is no fun, 

We replaced those parts! We did it ourselves, after watching your video's and the with the great suggestive help from you all at Appliance Parts Pros. We spoke with a human every time, with no long wait on the phone, and everyone helped to their fullest abilities. It was like you guys were there helping us! Best of all we did ourselves! 

Replaced terminal block and fuse. 

Installed a new fuse. 

Simply replaced the fuse. 

After much head scratching it turned out to be the belt brake sensor, even though the belt was not broken. Figuring out how to take it apart was the hardest part, next time it will be a snap. The parts arrived SUPER fast! Great company!!!
