How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5949272 / WR12X22148 Refrigerator Door Handle Kit

Three screws bottom one takes a torque wrench. I used a little screw driver that would fit it. Very happy that I was able to get the right part. Thanks 

Replacded it 

Very easy job; just needed to disconnect the old handle and attach the new one in it's place. This was done with just a screwdriver and three screws. 

My husband took handle off and put new one on:)

I ordered a new one through appliance parts pros. Com and it came fast and fit perfectly. 

I found the model number on the back of the refrigerator took a picture with my phone and looked it up on line. Then I simply found the part and following the prompts. Finally, used a credit card for payment. I did a have a minor glitch, some how I was sent a black handle but the customer service rep was great and I had the correct part in two days. 

Ordered the parts removed the broken ones and attached the new ones 

Ordered new part. Installed new part.
