How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5949272 / WR12X22148 Refrigerator Door Handle Kit

Located part in easy to navigate parts list. Ordered and received in two days. Simply removed and replaced the handle with a screwdriver. 

Replaced handle 

It was for my sisers fridge. She doesn't have a computer and asked me if I could order one for her. She doesn't have a lot of money and my nephew said he couldn't find one for less than $75. I looked on your website and found one for $46 including shipping. I ordered it using my credit card at 2:30 on friday afternoon and at 11 A.M on saturday it was delivered to my door. We were both in awe at how fast it came. I took it up to her and installed it and it looks like the original , plus it had a freezer door handle also. 

I ordered a new handle from appliance parts pro and replaced the old broken one. The parts I ordered from appliance parts pro came sooner than expected and fit perfectly. I could not be more satisfied. 

Removed old Handle used Phillips screwdriver to remove the two top screws. Next removed the bottom screw cover with a small screwdriver and with a hex driver remove the bottom screw. Installed new Handle and shaped the bottom screw cover in place. 

Removed handle then ordered a new one. 

Replaced handle. Took about 5 minutes. Weird that the top of the handle is secured with 2 phillips head screws while the bottom is secured with one star headed screw. 

Did a live chat to make sure I got the right handle ordered for my refrigerator on Monday and received the handle on Wednesday and installed it myself that afternoon. Perfection!
