Wade C Atlanta , GA February 18, 2021 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DBXR463ED2WW Heating coil failure. Replaced heating coils and drum glides while I had it all apart. Make sure to clean all of the lint out of the inlet just before the fan to free up the airflow. Took a little bit of time to restring the coils. The repair videos you had were very helpful in showing how to remove the drum belt and get it back on during reassembly. Read More... Pete P Sun City , AZ February 15, 2021 A broken heater element on my electric drier After referring to a trouble shooting video and eliminating all the simple fixes, I discovered a broken heater element after conducting an electrical test. The process of disassembling the machine, testing, repairing and reassembling was a lengthy process but a necessary one. The cost of repair doing it myself in lieu of having a service tech doing it, was significant. Read More... Dann J Clyde , NC January 24, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DSXR453EV0WW Our dryer was running but not heating. While I suspected the heating coils, I first queried the AppliancePartsPro.com website for possible reasons and solutions. The repair videos are excellent. Once I knew how to open and inspect the dryer, I was able to confirm the issue - burned out dyer element(s). In addition to the burned out elements, I found some other parts worn-out. As it turns out, there is a complete repair kit that is available for this dryer. The parts arrived very quickly (ordered on Saturday and they arrived on Tuesday) and I was able to get the dryer back in service with little trouble. The whole repair experience was good and I was able to get the repairs done without a major repair bill! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers

Larry F Albany , GA August 16, 2019 Appliance: Model DWSR483EB2WW GE DRYER Dryer taking too long to dry a load suspected a bad heater coil Took dryer front off and removed drum in order to reach heater coil shroud. Removed shroud and tested coil with a multimeter. There was no continuity. Inspected coil and found a break in the inside coil. Also tested all 3 thermostats while everything was taken apart and they were fine. Ordered replacement coils and received them the next day. Stretched new coils to 40 “ for inside and 48” for outer and rethreaded in the shroud. Reassembled dryer and it’s perfect, all in less than 24 hours. The hardest part is reattaching dryer drum belt to idler pulley. Video provided by Appliance Parts Pros is all you need to perform this. Restringing coils was $44 versus $144 for a new pre-strung shroud. I have fixed my washer, dryer, and refrigerator ice maker using the videos from App Parts Pros. Since discovering this company it’s been bye-bye appliance repairman. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
