David G Lincoln , NE January 25, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DCVH515EF0WW Heating element was partially non functional one of the two coils was still working Ordered the parts which were shipped and received in a timely manner as promised. Removed the top, front panel, drum, and then removed the sensor wires and terminal wires to the heater element. Removed the four screws from the heat reflector and pulled out the reflector with heater element according to the instructions provided with the heater element kit. Followed all instructions for removal and replacement of the two elements and reversed the order to put it back together. The most time consuming task was threading the new elements through the porcelain insulators. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Victor P Knoxville , TN July 22, 2018 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DBSR453EB2WW No heat Machine stopped heating. When taken apart found the heater coils broken. The new part arrived in a couple of days, instructions were easy to follow. Had extra insulators, but not to replace all, only two were broken so I replaced the broken ones. Read More... Barry O Essex , MA June 09, 2018 Appliance: Model GEDPSQ475ET0WW ELECTRIC DRYER No heat GE electric dryer model # DPSQ475ET0WW I bought the Heater Element Kit (restring coil) to save some money. That's just the tungsten wire and the insulators. I followed the instructions and it works fine. If I were to do it over, I'd spend the extra $55 bucks and get the entire GE Heating element assembly Part Number AP2619954. It would have saved a lot of time and testing to get the heating element evenly spaced so parts didn't overheat. Since it was already unusable, I wish I had disassembled the dryer before I ordered the parts. I found the Dryer Drum Front Support Bearing and the four glides had worn out, and I just ordered those replacement parts, and I will have to disassemble it again! I produce videos for corporations for a living, and I have to say that both the quality and the clarity of the Appliance Part Pros videos is excellent! Read More... Michael S Archbald , PA March 23, 2018 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DX2300EE1WW Broken heating elements and a bad timer resistor Thank God for You Tube! That's where I found Appliance Parts Pros. And... That's twice that "theapplianceman" bailed me out with my electric dryer. Probably the best "how-to" videos around. This is the one I watched: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG6RjciHNuc While watching his video, I was not aware that a heater element kit existed. Of course, I googled it, and wound up here. Purchased the kit, as well as the timer resistor. Had it in TWO days. And my dryer works great! I really don't need to explain the install because the video is all you'll need. I followed his instructions, to the letter, and had zero problems. I've had this dryer apart before, so the install was easy. Even if you're doing this for the first time, just follow along with the video, and be careful with the new coil. As long as you're paying attention, and don't force the coils into their positions, you should have no problems. Pay careful attention when stretching the coils, so as not to stretch them to far. That's probably the hardest part. New insulators come with the kit. I recommend using them, even if the existing ones look ok. They're easy to install. Once everything was in place... Wah-lahhhh. Works like new! And I saved over $100 by doing it myself! Trust me... this job was not tough, by any means. Read More... George C Golden , CO July 29, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DBXR453EA0WW Heater element insulator support broke causing element to short to frame this caused only part of the element to heat and it would stay on when the dryer door was opened Installed new heater restring kit, WE11X10007. Took maybe 1.5 hours to get the new coils fed through the insulators and get the dryer back together (with help of youtube videos). The heater assembly has 11 insulator brackets, but the kit only includes six replacements. This was disappointing as: -the reason I ordered the kit was that I had a bracket that was brittle and broken and, -this kit is the only way to get the brackets and, -I wanted to replace all of the brackets as some more looked brittle. So, I had to settle for replacing the brackets that looked the most dark and brittle. I hope I picked the right ones. Also, the belt tensioner pulley sides fell off when I took the dryer apart, so I had to replace that as well. It's working well now. Read More... Edward A M Denver , CO February 06, 2017 Broken clothes dryer heater coils Disassembled dryer and replaced broken coils with new coil assembly and insulators.
