How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2620211 / WE12X81 Dryer Idler Pulley

Replaced bearing, belt, and idler pulley.

Every thing went well. placing the belt was a little difficult. the video you have ,was a life saver 

Ordered new idler, replaced old idler with new one. 

Removed front panel and back lower cover on dryer. ,Disengaged idler arm to free up belt. pulled tub forward to remove belt and access idler arm to replace pulley. Replaced pulley. Slipped new belt over drum and pushed drum back in place. Positioned belt on idler arm pulley from rear of dryer. Placed rear lower cover and front panel back in place and tested to see if working ok.. 

Founds parts on Appliance Parts Pros. Liked that they had a diagram on the website with the part which made it easier to make sure we needed the idler pulley. Fixed the dryer which is 15 yrs. old and it runs like new now. Have used Appliance Parts Pros before for a part of dishwasher. Highly recommend this site. 

New water solenoid for fridge. New drum supports (slides and bushing), idler and belt for dryer. Parts were GE factory parts, exactly as needed, delivered in 2 days! Everything works like a champ now, and my 30 year old dryer is quiet as a church mouse ;-)
