Determined originally that the belt was broken. Dryer would turn on, but drum would not turn. After removing drum, I noticed that the Idler Pulley Wheel was broken, although it had broken so evenly on one side that it didn't look broken. Decided to order parts from Appliance Pro after finding parts, (and after being charged a premium price for a belt by a local parts store). I couldn't find any obvious reason for the noise the dryer was making so I took the chance that the rear bearing was the problem and ordered it from Appliance Pro. The price charged for the wheel and bearing (including shipping) was less than the cost of the bearing from the local store. Installation was easy with the exception of the screws on the back piece to the roller bearing. The screws did not want cut their own threads. Since these were factory parts, this really a GE issue rather than something from Appliance Pro. I have replaced the rear bearing, belt and heating element in this dryer (GE Profile Series) before, so I knew what I was doing. However, I went ahead and watched the online videos. They were very accurate. If you cannot make these repairs after watching the videos, then you would be better off hiring the job done. You are not mechanically capable.
