How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5956400 / WE05X20431 Lamp

Ordered a new heating element after seeing the video and replaced it. Wish it had a video with my dryer but I was able to figure it out based on the video . 

I removed the old bulb, went on line and order three new bulbs. The package arrived in 4 days, I replaced the bulb and all is well. 

Changed rear and front bearings along with new slides, belt, and felt gasket. All the parts were exact fit and a simple installation. 

I read a few of the comments on your website and picked the parts that were suggested. Followed the repair videos for each part. Drum front support bearing with bearing slides and felt trap duct and rear drum bearing kit. Love that each part has a video. Super easy to follow. I only needed my husbands help with threading the parts since they did not come pre-threaded. I had a lot of lent to clean out so it took me a while to complete. But it works great now, no more squeak!! 

I ordered a replacement from the local batteries plus bulbs. After a month they said the bulb was discontinued. A quick Google search found Appliancepartspros.com. I had the bulb the next day even though I paid for 7 day shipping. 

Unscrewed spent bulb and screwed in the new one. Lowes, Wal Mart and other home improvement stores in my area did not have the correct replacement bulb. 

After googling info on it I decided I could do the repairs. I ordered the parts which arrived in less then 36 hours. It went back together about 20 minutes no problems at all. Working like new again. Thanks to your detailed site.

I watched the videos and it became very simple to not only assess the problem but buy what I needed to avoid an expensive repair that would have otherwise been hired out.
