How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3185215 / WB27X10516 Magnetron Assembly

Hardest part was pulling the unit as it was a microwave / oven combo (Kenmore). Found install instructions online and just worked backwards. Removed side panel and vent shroud. Discharged the capacitor (VERY IMPORTANT- don't fry yourself). Removed magnetron, diode, and capacitor, marking the leads for reinstall. Tested all three parts with ohmmeter to find the culprits; also tested transformer (was OK). APP got me my parts within three days. Replaced parts in reverse order of removal, replaced panel and shroud and reinstalled unit. All is fine now. Google "microwave oven repair" to find YouTube diagnostic instructions; worked for me! 

Removed sheet metal covers and replaced the magnatron. 

Installed all of the parts that I ordered and it now works like it did when it was new... 

Replaced the magnetron. 

I changed the part I purchased and now it works just fine. 

I replaced the magnetron with the one I received from you and it works great. 

Reove the unit from the cabinet just far enough to get to the screws and remove the safety shields. hint the last screw is low in the rear of the unit so you will need to get the unit almost all the way out of the cabinet. VERY simple to locate!! remove and replace. all total and not knowing how to do any of it removal was 75% of the 1.5 hours and 25% of the time to replace and re install the unit. now that i know i could likely do it in 30 minutes complete. saved over $500 compared to the appliance repair estimate 

Microwave was not heating. Looked online and saw that it might be the magnetron. In a video online I saw how to check to see if it actually was a bad magnetron. Checked my unit following the instructions from the video and proved nit was either the Magnetron or the Magnetron diode. The video said that if you replaced the magnetron you should replace the diode. Purchased both, they came in about 4 days, replaced them then made a cup of sweet tea. 

Bought part from you and installed it myself. 

I pulled the control panel and attempted to replace from there. I then had to pull the wall oven, microwave combo out of the wall enough to pull the side panel off. I was then able to replace the magnetron. I closed up most of the assembly before turning the power back on and testing. NY tenant was very happy.
