How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2021173 / WB15X10022 Microwave Door Handle

Watched youtube Appliance parts pro video, instructions were spot on. Only issue was the part wasn't exactly right but close enough to use. 

My husband did the job. We searched at you tube. 

I ordered a new handle from Appliancepartspros, unscrewed the old handle, and screwed the new one in its place. I was shocked at how quickly the part came, and I didn't select expedited shipping. The job was very easy to do and I'm not handy.

Researched you tube, then net, found appliancepartspros.com, ordered part, watched video, did the job 

Removed inside panel from door using putty knife and removed screws from old handle with Philips screwdriver. Attached new handle and replaced inside panel. Total time to replace was less than 10 minutes. Part arrived less than 24 hours after ordering. 

I called my appliance repair company and the receptionist told me the part was not made any longer. I thought that was strange so I Googled it and got to your web site and found it and ordered it in less than 5 mins. She called back 3 days later and said she had found it but it was on the way by then. The part arrived in three days. I went to UTUBE and found a video on replacing handles and just followed their guidance. There were some hiccups along the way but I persevered and got it fixed without any outside assistance. 

Ordered new handle and watched YouTube video on how to fix it. Super easy with the video. 

Replaced with new handle. There were no videos for this unfortunately but I did find something on Youtube. Getting the door apart was a bit tricky but I didn't have to remove the door from the microwave. The Youtube video showed the inner bezel coming off very easily but I had difficulty removing the bezel by the side closest to the hinges. I had to use two flat blade screwdrivers and a flashlight to see the tabs holding the bezel on. Then I had to remove the face of the door (with the glass), which required an extra pair of hands to make sure it didn't fall and break. Not hard, just had to be careful. After that the removal of the old and installation of the new was straightforward, as was re-assembly.
