How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2021173 / WB15X10022 Microwave Door Handle

Let's just say there was a lot of swearing going on by my husband while installing and no instructions included with part! We went to your website and thankfully others had written in with tips on how they did it. Thank goodness for that and thank God my husband is a handy dude- he did it! 

Took of the back cover and two handle screws. 

Ordered new door handle which was at my house in only a few days. The new handle fit perfectly on my GE Microwave. It took a little investigating to get the old, broken handle completely off because there are two hidden screws that are a lot harder to remove than expected. Once the old handle was completely removed, the new one I ordered went on perfectly. I left off the two hidden screws and used the two screws that are accessable. This holds the handle on fine and the door works great now.

Ordered the part from appliance parts pros, checked out a short how to video on YouTube, and replaced the handle in 5 minutes. Just pryed back the molding on the microwave door with a flat head screwdriver, unscrewed the two screws and installed the new part. Easy job done quick.

Replaced handle. Shipping was super fast. Instalation verry easy. Price reasonable. I am very pleased with every aspect of my purchase and repair. 

Bought a new part and followed the instruction video on line. I had to make 2 phone calls to AppliancePartsPros.com to get all the info that was not in the video. My model was not exactly covered, very similar to the one in the video. Overall, it went OK thanks to the help from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

When handle arrived I gently pried inner door panels loose to gain access to 4 screws holding handle in place. Once the old was removed it was a simple to replace the new one and tighten screws. Inside door panels snapped back in place, and hopefully I will get another 11 years use from my microwave.
