James S Ruston , LA February 06, 2015 Microwave door handle broken Ordered new door handle which was at my house in only a few days. The new handle fit perfectly on my GE Microwave. It took a little investigating to get the old, broken handle completely off because there are two hidden screws that are a lot harder to remove than expected. Once the old handle was completely removed, the new one I ordered went on perfectly. I left off the two hidden screws and used the two screws that are accessable. This holds the handle on fine and the door works great now. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Tim E Pineville , KY September 28, 2014 Appliance: Model EBWTWRWXRB2RE6GJ Microwave door handle broke at mounting screw When handle arrived I gently pried inner door panels loose to gain access to 4 screws holding handle in place. Once the old was removed it was a simple to replace the new one and tighten screws. Inside door panels snapped back in place, and hopefully I will get another 11 years use from my microwave.
