How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3775270 / WB26X10143 Motor

The typical problem: plastic motor shaft shears, so replace motor which GE has a special access door on the bottom just for this because they know it's gonna happen! 

Replaced the turntable motor. The microwave had a little door held in by a screw and the motor was held in place with two screws and a power clip. Took less than 10 minutes to fix! 

Replaced motor--GE --the only problem was the screws holding transformer,will let drop --lot time to replace-- all went well. suggestion -------------leave the 4 screws bottom panel in place unplug two leads change turn table motor --return leads --put bottom back on --worked well 

Ordered motor and wA FIXED WITHIN MIN. !! 

Very easy to repair. 

Ordered the Motor and Rotating Ring Assembly. Assumed it would be both. Replaced the Ring and noise went away. Hanging on to the motor in case I need it later. 

Replaced both the motor and the rotating ring assembly (both were causes). The wall-mounted microwave is just a kit for a countertop model. Although it takes several screws to remove the microwave from the wall, the process is very easy. Some mentioned a small access door for the motor, however this model did not have that. The bottom cover of the microwave is a single piece and can be loosened enough to access the motor. The repair itself is extremely easy. 

I took out the tray and turned the microwave upside down. Using a flathead screwdriver and a pair of you needlenose pliers I broke off the breakaway access door in the middle of the microwave. After that, I unscrewed to set screws using a Phillips head, screwdriver, and magnetic screwdriver might be helpful here, and then unplug the motor and replaced it with a new one. Put the screws back in and put the access door on by rotating at 180° for the included tabs to line up with the slits in the bottom of the microwave. There was a set screw that I had to loosen and then use to attach the access door. It is truly as if GE had anticipated this exact repair. The whole thing took me about 20 minutes. Super easy! Replaced turntable motor. There is an access point on the underside of the oven so oven disassembly is not necessary. Removal of the cover on this access point requires small dikes to snip some metal bridges. 

Ordered new motor (turntable was fine, motor not working). Read other comments about how easy the repair was. Ordered on Sat., it was shipped on Monday, received on Tuesday. Took about 15 minutes to replace. Amazingly easy. Very easy to order. (I had received an estimate from a local appliance dealer that sells the same brand microwave of $240 to repair). New motor from AppliancePartsPros was $29.00. Super savings. Took less time for me to fix that just to take it to the dealer.
