How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2030996 / WB44T10010 Oven Bake Element

I ordered the Bake Element and Broil Element and the Temp Sensor, Removed all elements and the sensor. My Wife cleaned the oven and we waited for the parts. The parts came in a couple days and it took less than an hour to put it all back together. It works great. It could have been either the Bake Element or the Temp Sensor, but I bought all the parts and installed for right around $100.00 and my oven should be good for another 12 to 15 years. Sure is better than buying a new one. All the parts fit exactly and we can cook again. 

Googled how to replace it, picked the Lowe's instructions because they came up first. Lost one of the wires in the back but figured out how to remove the back panel and feed the wire back through. Most of the repair time was spent on moving the stove away from the wall. Now I just have to replace the broiler element. Not going to lie, I was pretty proud of myself. 

Used a socket set ,took the screws/bolts out (2) and unplugged clips We lost one of clips as it slipped back into the insulation. Used tweezers and snagged it Plugged the tabs back into the clips Plugged the range back in and turned it on. Hooray it worked 

Removed two screws in oven and removed burner from stove. When removing burner one of the wires did manage to pull into the back of the stove, removed rear panel about six screws plugged wires into burner unit and replaced new unit in the stove. Total repair time approximately twenty minutes give or take. Parts arrived in a couple of days much sooner then if I had called a repair man to schedule repairs and probably saved me at least $100.00. THANK YOU!!! 

I ordered a new oven bake element from AppliancePartsPros.com on line and when it arrived I installed it. Lucky for me it was pretty simple to do because I am not high tech or a super duper handyman so if I can do it just about anyone can. Cass Clark

My 17 year old son watched the instructions online and repaired it himself. The hardest part for him was manuevering the small parts because his hands are large. Other than that, the repair was easy and better than spending alot of money on a new stove.
