How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3202322 / WB13T10045 Oven Igniter Assembly

Replaced with new one. 

I had to pull the oven to get to the plug at the back, but the repair overall wasn't bad. This is the second or third time that I have to replace the igniter since 2012, so I am getting more efficient at it. Truth be told, it took me longer to clean under the range than it did to actually replace the igniter. 

Followed online video instructions, especially ones for removing the oven door. Overall the entire process was very easy, even for an overweight 63-year-old man. Oven door removal and re-installation were super easy. Broke off a stuck metal screw on the igniter. Was able to remove the broken half with needle nose vice grips and found a replacement metal screw that worked fine. Could not for the life of me undo the gas line so I could pull the entire oven out. So I laid a bunch of shop blankets on top and leaned over the back to remove the access cover. Reminded me of my old Navy sub days working in tight spaces upside down. Really, this is a job any able-bodied person can do themselves. Even with the issues and beer breaks, took 3.5 hrs to finish. My wife is happy again and the floor is clean under the range now. 

Removed the oven igniter which had part numbers and ordered new part form you. When the new igniter arrived in just three days, replaced the igniter. 

This was the second igniter assembly I've had to replace for the stove. Just as happened earlier, the stove wouldn't heat, but the broiler worked fine. Considering we've had the stove for 8-10 years and it is HEAVILY used I consider this satisfactory. It's nice that I can log into my account and simply order the same part for the stove. After sliding the stove out and removing the door and a few screws you can simply plug in the new assembly and put it all back together. I could NOT unplug it from the inside of the stove, had to be done from the back. Takes about 30 minutes, including chasing the gremlins out from behind/under the stove. 

Replaced the part. Appreciate the quick / on-time shipment of the part. 

Researched online, watched the video, and ordered. Very easy! A couple of notes. Some videos suggest cutting lead wires and connecting with wire nuts, bad shortcut. Take a minute extra and pullout oven and access the back panel to do clip connection. The igniter was replaced before by a service company and I could see why not to do it that way. The leads and connection insulation is compromised and not worth the shortcut. It just takes a few minutes extra to do it correctly and I felt more confident in my repair. 

I ordered the part after online investigations. Part came in 3 days. Followed you tube video. Took about 20 mins. 

I installed the ignitor part I received! Once the racks and bottom of oven, including heat shield was removed, the job took less than 5 minutes! The most time consuming was removing and replacing small screws that held the ignitor cage to the side of burner! 

Replaced the ignitor. With my model I had to take the door off to get the bottom panel off. Also I had to pull out the oven to disconnect and reconnect the ignitor wiring harness.
