How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3202322 / WB13T10045 Oven Igniter Assembly

I found the AppliancePartsPros (APP) online and ordered a new thermostat and igniter after researching that these are the most common parts to go bad. APP was super easy to order the CORRECT parts for my stove. They came fast in delivery. I swapped out the thermostat and it still wasn’t working so I did the igniter and it STILL DIDNT work...I was in a bit of a rush and swapped out THE BROILER igniter!!!! Duh...so I then swapped out the correct one that was under the oven compartment and WHAM....it started right up and has been working flawlessly since! Thx APP!!! 

Replaced igniter. First, we swapped the broiler igniter into the location of the oven igniter after determining from the diagram that the parts were the same. This was to eliminate any other part that may have been the cause. Since the broiler’s igniter worked perfectly well in the broiler, there was no reason to expect it to not work in the oven. And it did, which restored at least partial use of the appliance. We do not broil but the convection settings and the clean cycle both use both burners. Ordered a replacement part which arrived in two days and installed it. Oven works as it should. Only problem was that in manufacturing the screws used to hold the igniter had been damaged by heat and would not unscrew needing to be drilled out. The wire harness on the back of the range was difficult to access. Due to installation of the range, moving it was not possible. 

Replaced the igniter. 

Replaced igniter. Had to replace the two hex head mounting screws, they sheared off while removing. 

Followed a YouTube video on how to replace the igniter. Worked out perfectly. Very simple fix. However, I Had to grind off the old screws that attached igniter to gas oven tube. I used a Dremel tool with a cutting disk to remove the original screws that got stripped while trying to remove the old igniter from the gas tube. Then had to retap new threads to fit new screws I had In my home hardware stock pile. That was the most time consuming part of the fix. 

I ordered a new igniter from AppliancePartsPros, and a new lightbulb, which I had been meaning to do. When it arrived, I installed it with a little help from Youtube to remove the door. 

Watched a youtube and felt very comfortable I could do it but needed to be sure to get the right part. A general google and amazon search left me concerned that I would not get the right part so I called APP. The customer service rep was great and indeed I would have ordered the wrong part. Only issue was getting the screws that held the igniter lose and had to cut off the plug on the OEM replacement as when I had a svc tech fix it last time they used an aftermarket which had wire nuts. Hoping the OEM part lasts longer. Reason it took as long as it did is having to cut wires for wire nuts and we took the opportunity to clean the oven since we had the door off and better access. 

Replaced igniter assembly. 

When repairing the oven I followed the instructions using your provided video. This is the second time I have repaired this part. This repair was very easy there are only a few screws to remove to access the connections. I used a nut driver for most of the screws. I used my small socket set to remove the screws holding the igniter because it fit better than the nut driver in the tight space. Those were the only tools required.
