How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2014008 / WB2X9154 Gas Range Oven Igniter

Husband put it on 

Replaced the igniter module 

I ordered an oven igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com. My husband and son followed the video provided by you, removed the burned out igniter and installed the new igniter. This saved us, I'm sure $500 in repair costs. We probably would have put that $500 into purchasing a new oven. Thank you for your service. 

Oven igniter did not heat up, 110 volts to igniter. Ordered new igniter. Install went easy-oven heats. wife is happy so am I 

My son repaired it quickly without any problem. 

Replaced the igniter. 

Removed bottom storage tray and disconnected plug wires. Removed glow plug from oven and replaced with new plug. Oven is now working. 

Replaced the ignitor 

Screws on igniter were hard to get to (GE range) because of the heat shield. Removed warming drawer to get to screws that hold lower burner. Removed those screws and pulled burner up and igniter screws were easy to get to. Was very easy once I figured out how to get to igniter screws. On wiring, unscrewed and switched one wire at a time to make sure I didn't get them mixed up. 

First I called my energy supply company who diagnosed the problem over the phone and made an appointment to come fix it in 2 weeks. I patiently waited without an oven and when they did arrive they didn't have the right igniter. I went online and ordered one from AppliancePartsPros thanked the repairman and told him I'd fix it myself. The igniter arrived two days later and in less than 30 minutes I had a working oven again. I'm a 72 year old woman and if I can do you can too. Thank you AppliancePartsPro for carrying older appliance parts and getting them to me so quickly!
