How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2014008 / WB2X9154 Round Style Oven Or Broiler Igniter

Disassembled oven to access igniter. Cut and strip new connections. Replaced plastic wire nuts with ceramic. Function checked igniter to ensure a good red hot glow. Then reassembled oven. Conducted function checked igniter by preheating to 425 successfully, confirming repair was achieved. 

Followed the video. If you have one long arm and can get flat on the floor this is a repair an owner can do. Thank you for sending an oem part. Expensive but I don't want to do this again for years. 

I watched a GE official repair you tube video and was confident that the problem was the oven igniter. I ordered it very early on a Monday morning and Appliance Parts said it would arrive in two days with normal shipping but it actually arrived in one day so I was able to get the repair done a day early. This was a rental so my tenant was happy with the quick repair. 

I found the part on this website, watched the repair video, ordered the part & replaced the faulty igniter. 

Ordered the igniter base on the model number of the oven. Took a bit under 1 hour to remove the required parts and replaced with the new.

Replaced the oven igniter. The video provided on the website was a very good resource and showed complete repair steps from start to finish. Appreciated the extra screws and wire nuts that came with the igniter. Everything needed came with the part. 

Replaced the oven glow coil. It was as easy as removing the bottom of the oven floor & one screws which help the glow coil in place. A pair of wire nuts were next and I was ready to reassemble!
