How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2022762 / WB19K31 Oven Safety Valve

We ordered the part from appliancepartspros.com. They came very quickly as promised and for the safety valve we needed help which we got in no time thru their chatroom. Now the stove is working great again 

Ordered the part and replaced with the new valve from appliance part pros that matched perfectly. 

Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com for the information has how to eliminate the yellow flame in oven. Turning the brass fitting on oven safety valve clock wise eliminated the yellow flame. Fitting adjustment was two and one quarter turn clock wise. Oven now burns with a beautiful blue flame. Thanks again for taking the time to help me with this problem. Ronald J. Adams. 

Replaced the safety gas valve 

I HAD TO GET A REPAIR PERSON OUT.THE PART I ODERED WAS FOR A GAS STOVE AND MINE IS PROPANE. AFTRE PUTTING TO ORFIS FROM THE OLD PART ON THE OVEN IS BACK UP AND WORKING. 

Replaced ... thermostat ,igniter, and safety gas valve. video's made the job easier than i thought. when i got to the gas valve i had a surprise..... gas line in was hand tight and no sealant on threads. well all's good now temp is right on the money ,stove is 100% new again ! thanks to all to ApplianceParts Pros well done and thanks so much.

Part was ordered & received next day. Installation took about 45 min due to valve being in the back of the lower oven drawer. 

Put oven safety valve on. On the part is a piece called the hood, there were no directions , but for lp gas the nozzle had to be screwed down on the hood. I am glad we had a book or we would of had to contact a service co. again. 

I replace the igniter, which was defective and the oven safety control valve. All is working OK know. My new igniter came with a female plug, but my old igniter had a male plug. I had to remove the new female plug and splice the old male plug to my new igniter.
