How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4484666 / WD12X10304 Rack Slide End Cap

Put 2 new stop clips into slide, plus changed out sealing gasket that had old embedded debris 

Ordered end cap, received the next day, installed it. Great website ! 

Removed the old roller studs and replaced with exact fit GE rollers. The slides had been crimped down on the ends to "prevent" the basket from rolling off the slide. I "unbent" the ends on the top slides and fit the proper stops on the ends. Fit like a glove. 

Replaced them 

I removed the broken pieces and snapped on the new ones. I would like to say the 2 minute video I watched showing how to repair my dishwasher was so helpful, and that's what made the repair so easy. 

I ordered the top rack online and when it came in the time that was promised I simply took the old one out and put the new one in and one of the end caps broke. I went online and bought the end caps. They were also very easy to install. It took no time and no tools for this repair. 

I removed and replaced the rack slide, and while I was at it, I replaced all the end caps with the new style end caps and replaced all the rack rollers. Everything works like new!! 

Order appropriate part from appliancepartspro.com. Incredibly, there was a video showing how to replace this minor part, which was really cool. Watching the video, the part where the tech removes the old end caps convinced me that I should also order a pair of the new style rail end caps just in case, and sure enough, one of the old style ones broke while removing, but I had the replacement right on hand. I love appliancepartspro.com, been buying parts from them for years, they have saved me a lot of money.
