How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2621911 / WE1M462 Dryer Rear Drum Bearing Sleeve

I researched troubleshooting videos on-line to learn what may be causing the issue. Once I had an idea, I decided to order parts through appliancepartspros.com in attempt to fix the unit myself. The unit is older and out of warranty so I thought it would be worth a shot. The website has a large selection of parts to choose from, all the parts I needed were in stock! The website is well designed and checkout was a breeze. I highly recommend any do it yourselfers to give it a try! 

Replaced slides and rear bearing would have simpler if there were 4 slides in pkg rather than 1 

I replaced the bearings and the bearing support 

Replaced parts until quiet. 

I I watched your videos before I took my dryer part. Then I took my dryer part and located the problems. And then I ordered all the parts I needed from your company. And once my parts were delivered I installed the parts which was quick and easy. Again with your how do you do videos really helped me. 

Used the parts I ordered, plus used the instructional videos 

I had to completely remove the dryer drum and replace the Rear Drum Bearing Sleeve. I bought a new O-ring, but I couldn't get the old one off, so I just forced the old sleeve off and force the new sleeve on - - it worked well. One note on my GE Dryer - - I love the Engineers!!! Instead of having to hold the spring-loaded idler wheel with one hand and set the belt with the other (would be difficult) - - the GE Dryer has a lip you can hook the idler wheel, under tension - - get the belt in place - - then release the ilder wheel. SO much EASIER! Thanks, GE!!! 

Turned out to be the bearing slides had worn out and the drum was riding on the support bearing. So ordered all the parts, and since I had it apart I changed out the drive belt and rear drum sleeve. It also was a good time to take the whole dryer out side and with my compressor I blew it all down from the inside it had a lot of lint inside. My dryer is a Fisher & Paykel DG09-US1 and it works like a champ. 

Very easy fixed after watching video your website provided. While it was apart I took the time to replace other worn out parts and a good cleaning. The dryer is working like new. Very happy with the help of your website and staff.
