Ordered new parts. Turned off power to dryer. Removed four torx (star) screws from top of control panel. Lifted panel slightly and let panel move forward. Start switch was then easily accessible. Noted wire colors and positions on switch. Removed wires with needle nose pliers. Noted position of old switch to ensure proper positioning of new switch. Turned old switch counter clockwise one quarter turn. Removed old part from panel and positioned tabs of new switch in openings of panel noting what part of switch needed to be on top. Turned new switch one quarter turn clockwise to set in place. Reconnected wires. Placed panel back in place and inserted the four star screws. Aligned control knob with plastic stem and pushed into place. Turned on power to dryer and tested. Dryer worked properly.
