How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5999509 / WB24X25013 Infinite Control Switch

Order the parts. Researched how to replace the part. Pulled stove out, unplugged it, removed upped back. Unscrewed switches, unplugged one wire at a time and plugged it into new part. Put everything back together and it was done. I'm a 72 year old woman and did everything but replace the screws in the back. I asked man husband to finish. Burners work great. 

Replaced infinite switch 

Ordered the part need from Appliance Parts Pros. com, which was the Infinite Control Switch. Took off back panel of stovetop, took a picture of the faulty control switch just to insure that the wires were reconnected properly, put everything back together and that was it. The stovetop burner is working perfectly now. Super easy DYI. 

Replaced infinite switch 

Purchased the replacement part from you and son-in-law installed it. Part arrived in several days as promised. Your prompt service is greatly appreciated. 

Replaced control switch 

Diagnosed by finding a website that walked me through the steps by testing it with one of the working burners. Found the part online. Watched a repair video prior to ordering. 

I replaced the 'infinite control' switch. Remove bottom drawer and unplug range. Slide it out a few inches to access the screws on either side that hold the control panel on. Remove control knobs and carefully pull outward and upward to lift the panel, flipping it up on top of the range. Note which wires go to which terminals on the switch, then remove them. Remove two screws holding switch to panel and replace switch. Reassemble then plug back in and test. 

Replacing the element control switches fixed both eyes. 

Turned the power off to stove at electrical breaker box. Pulled the four burner control knobs and set to the side. Removed the two side screws holding the cover plate. Removed the control switch screws holding the burner control switches to the cover plate. Lifted the control switch plate to gain access to the bad infinite two burner control switch. Pulled the electrical wires one at a time and hooked them up to the replacement infinite control switch. Reattached all control switches to the cover plate. Reattached the cover plate to the stove. Flipped the, electrical breaker switch back on for the stove. Checked to make sure the burners were operating properly. Just be sure to attach the electrical wires in exact placement from bad switch to new switch. The whole process was easy. Communication from FedEx was amazing.
