Linda N Santa Clarita , CA May 11, 2014 The washing machine woud not fill Had an appliance company come in and tell me it was going to cost $259 to fix. They claimed the part had to "be ordered". Waited four days and called them to find out why they hadn't come back or called me, only to find out that they never ordered the part and was told that "it will be here tomorrow". Got mad. Went online and found the part, then went on You Tube to see how to do it. Ordered the part and it came the next day. Hubby fixed it after work, in 10 minutes. Part cost: $29 + shipping. James B Covington , LA February 13, 2016 Appliance: Model GE TOP LOAD WHDSR109J5WW Water on laundry floor with level set at high (super level ) Replaced pressure switch. However the plastic that houses this in place was cracked. Was able to drill and tap two 6-32 screws into switch mount (metal plate) through panel and securely mounted level switch. Screws placed under control knob. Also used oval head type screws to reduce knob clearance. Working great with no over fills on highest setting. Old machine is working up a storm. Family just came back from Walt Disney World with lots of dirty laundry. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
